Founded and led by Makiko Suzuki, ThreadsThrive is a solo venture driven by deep expertise in cross-border innovation and strategic partnerships. With a career spanning Japanese energy and manufacturing industries, she has navigated roles in project management, sales & marketing, R&D, and corporate venture capital (CVC)—always at the forefront of bridging ideas between Japan and the world.
After joining the CVC division of a Japanese Gas Utility in the Bay Area in 2017, A expanded her expertise in global business development. In 2024, she transitioned to the Silicon Valley subsidiary of a Japanese manufacturer, focusing on identifying and fostering partnerships with U.S. startups.
Holding degrees in engineering and architecture and an MBA, A brings both technical depth and business acumen to the innovation ecosystem. In April 2024, she founded ThreadsThrive to independently empower global collaborations and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
